La Ruche or The Hive is designed by French designer of El Mostapha Ouhlani for Dar En Art. These storage units hexagonal overleap each other. La Ruche is a bookshelf system that quite brilliant and inspired by the second modular building shelters naturally by bees and traditional form of Arab Andalusian architecture.
The base module made of lacquered wood consists of a perforated pattern that refers to latticework and the design of which evokes the disintegration of the cells can be observed on certain hives. These hexagonal modular components can be easily move and combined into endless compositional possibilities.
